On top of a corner-lot Gründerzeit apartment building without facade decoration, a two-floor structure was erected with about 1000 square meters of living space, accessible by two staircases. The apartments feature attractive, compact floor plans and all have open-air spaces in the form of terraces, loggias or balconies. The central design element is the “torn open” corner, which opens the edge with generous terraces and provides a distinct but discreet separation of the new structure from the historic building.
