The spectacular light over the Adria is the protagonist of the interior in the Hotel Split’s Ficus Building. To this end, an unusual solution was developed: The hallways were placed behind the facade, and are thus flooded with daylight. The remaining surfaces are taken by 69 rooms (of which 12 are suites, each of them with floor-to-ceiling openings and terraces with a view of the sea). The bathrooms are conceived as semi-open inserted elements. The deep rooms channel the view to the sea and the spectacular landscape. Custom-made wallpaper with motives from the old town of Split provide an individual touch and a local connection.
