Wohnhaus Dr. H.0408 | 1190 Vienna | 2006
Extreme conditions as an inspiration: the property situated on a steep hillside became the creative leitmotif. For one, there is the staircase, providing connected views and light; and then the work with split levels which – in best Viennese tradition – gives different heights to different functions. The living room opens to the Kaasgraben in a spectacular manner. In addition to transparency and clarity (the dominating materials being plaster, concrete, glass and wood) special attention was paid to flexibility: separate areas can be split off or connected in the future.
