A strung-out space with broken contours and almost no daylight was centered in and reorganized. The engineering on the ceiling was left visible – a first in a McDonald’s restaurant – and introduces a »rough« and highly sculptural element. What was important for the furnishing was the sturdiness and strength of materials and surfaces.
